Senior Manager Business Analysis INTBK

POSITION SUMMARY:

Scotiabank's International Banking Systems group is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Analysis to join their growing team.

Working closely with the International Credit Risk Management and Retail Product areas, the Senior Manager will act as the IT Representative of International Banking Systems and will manage and provide business analysis services including performance of systems and process analysis, formulation of detailed business requirements, creating and/or modifying procedures for Head Office and Branches, creating project plans, managing day-to-day tasks on projects, preparing and conducting application tests as needed and implementation conversions or new application and support applications. This role has a focus is on IT customer relationship management.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Identification of modifications to existing base systems, definition of business requirements for systems and bank procedure development. User support to system developers in the development of technical specifications and systems programming.
  • Develop training materials in order to deliver effective training to end users for systems support. Perform training on the systems' functionality in a user context.
  • Provide production support and maintenance as required for the international systems platform.
  • Analysis and definition of the business processes, documentation of workflows, reporting requirements and operational controls required to administer international products and services.
  • Working with International Banking, subsidiaries, third party suppliers, represent Scotiabank in all phases of system life cycles, from selection of applications through detailed design, including supporting acceptance testing and implementation.
  • Ensure systems initiatives are consistent with the platform and support the integration of new services into the bank environment for specific initiatives. Provide user support to the International countries in the development of operating procedures and also provide user support to International Operations in the development of banking procedures.
  • Support other International product lines as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-8 years experience in a business analysis role with strong technical and business skills is required.
  • Spanish language skills are ideal.
  • Specialized knowledge of Credit Risk Management Systems and Retail Banking business processes through the entire customer life cycle including data processing, hardware and software applications.
  • Extensive experience or advanced knowledge of the functionality of Credit Risk Management, Retail Banking products and the associated systems environment, specifically how Credit Risk Management and Retail Banking products integrate into the existing bank systems and operations.
  • Prior experience with Credit Card Host Platforms such as FDR or TSYS is desirable, but not essential.
  • Prior experience with Fair Isaac Credit Risk Systems such as TRIAD and DM is desirable, but not essential.

EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education in business or project management.

OTHER INFORMATION:
  • Location: downtown, Toronto
  • Travel to international locations on occasion is required.
