Regional Insurance Associate French

POSITION SUMMARY:
Scotiabank's Insurance Canada, Creditor Distribution area is seeking a Regional Insurance Associate to join their team. The Regional Insurance Associate (RIA) works from the downtown head office, in partnership with the Regional Insurance Manager (RIM) to drive Creditor Insurance sales in both Branch and Alternate distribution channels.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work directly with the Regional Insurance Manager to develop relationships, increase cross-sell penetration and deliver sales training, in Eastern Canada (Quebec, Eastern Ontario and Atlantic Regions). The Regional Insurance Associate (RIA) will initiate and maintain regular contact with Branch Management, Sales Officers, and Mortgage Development Managers (MDMs) primarily through telephone and written communication as well as iShare presentations.
- Proactively deliver outbound sales training to the field by using coaching, training and motivation techniques to increase confidence in having effective protection conversations with Scotiabank customers.
- Monitor insurance sales patterns and progress at all levels (Region, District, Branch, Sales Officer, MDMs) using Sales Builder and web based reporting to support RIM(s) with sustainment of selling skills, sales strategies and recognition.
- You may also provide Executive Offices and managers with additional support as needed, including the involvement of creating tools, sales management strategies, campaigns, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- French Fluency is required
- Strong sales coaching and presentation skills
- Thorough understanding of Creditor Insurance required in order to provide high level of service
- Proven sales experience (3 plus years) in the financial services industry with preference given to working specifically with insurance products
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to disseminate key ideas and information to sales staff in a friendly helpful manner
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong partnerships
- Highly motivated self-starter who can be effective with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Thorough knowledge of branch sales and service processes
- Considerable knowledge of Alternate Distribution Channel
EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:
- Post secondary education in a related field an asset
- Working towards or completion of PFP, CFP or AMP also an asset
